WELCOME TO ST. JAMES' ANGLICAN CHURCH IN DANDENONG

We rejoice in being a friendly and uplifting Christian community in the inspiring surrounds of our heritage-listed church, built-in 1864. Please explore our website and feel free to contact us with any enquiries you may have. We look forward to welcoming you.

OUR MISSION

To Know Christ – through worship, prayer and Bible Study
To Serve Christ – through answering the call to minister with our God-given gifts
To Proclaim Christ – through taking the gospel to our local communities and further afield in Mission

St.James’ Anglican Church is one of the leading congregations in the Dandenong area. We are a multicultural congregation dedicated to serving the spiritual and cultural needs of our parish community.

Ministers wear robes, there are candles on the table, and we celebrate the Eucharist, also known as Holy Communion.

Baptism is the sign of membership in God’s family, the Church. It symbolises the new life of belonging to God through Jesus Christ. It is our most significant symbol, marking the entry into the Church and our commitment to following Jesus throughout our lives. We baptise both adults and the children of believers.

St.James' is a stunning traditional church in which to be married.   Currently, there is an all-inclusive fee of $950 for a wedding at St James, which includes the Anglican marriage rite conducted by one of our clergy, music played by a skilled organist, marriage preparation classes, and fresh flowers in the church.

Sunday:

8am Holy Communion
10am Holy Comm. & Morning Tea

Wednesday Morning:

10am Holy Comm. & Morning Tea
